One of the most important works in the history of philosophy, Rene Descartes pioneers the premises of the scientific method.
This little book is a wonder. Just to follow the logical discourse as it unfolds is indeed a pleasure. It will help anyone to see the world different and to aid anyone in self discovery.
I received everything as promised; I am very pleased with this purchase. Highly recommend this seller.
Standard 1600's philosophy.
Might be hard to read for those coming out of High School this century as most do not learn how to read these days.
It is a highly recommended book for people that likes to improve their ability to think.
Thought-provoking and profound. A necessary read for any philosopher, and a great way to jump into metaphysics. Written in old, broken English, which sucks, but the content is amazing nonetheless.

I'm dropping my rating to 4/5, when it was originally 5/5. I still hold that Descartes' Discourse is a necessary read for any philosopher, as well as a good introduction to important philosophical concepts, but this book in particular is a horrible translation. I highly recommend investing the money on Cottingham, Stoothoff, and Murdoch's translation instead; you won't be disappointed.
