WARNING An Extreme Horror story. Not intended for sensitive audiences

Donny Spanks is a troubled man. Obsessed with his favorite actress, he sets out to create the perfect woman in her likeness. Using knowledge gained from watching crime shows on T.V. his first few attempts resulted in near disaster; however, he is able to refine his methods which are extremely barbaric. Through trial and error he kidnaps women and removes the parts he needs in order to piece them together into the perfect human jigsaw puzzle.

Spankenstein eBook Tim Miller

Funny story: the receipt for purchasing this was sent to my email. I had my email inbox open with my wife nearby. She saw "Spankenstein" and immediately went, "WHAT IS THAT?" She thought I'd ordered some weird fetish video! I showed her the full email, and explained it was just a macabre horror story. She instantly felt better.

Donny Spanks (hence the title) is one of those super socially awkward guys who's become obsessed with an actress on a crime show. Of course, like most men soon realize, dating (let alone even meeting) a sexy television actress is an impossibility, so Donny decides to do the next best thing: kidnap various women with the right body parts, and sew them together! A torso here, a head here, a few limbs here...nothing a buzzsaw and some stitches can't fix! However, despite all the trial and error and quick thinking he learned from watching crime shows, things don't go so well for Donny. The police are catching on, and one of the women he kidnapped had a huge shipment of heroine on her, and her dealer is looking to get that back. What was a simple story of boy-meets-corpse quickly turns chaotic, with Donny finding himself in the middle of it all.

Very early on you realize that Tim Miller is playing this for dark humor, and it works. Reading Donny try to use chloroform for the first time, and realizing that it's not EXACTLY how it works on TV, is hilarious. His experiments are likewise played for humor, such as the scene where he has a nice conversation with a limbless victim high on heroine. Perhaps unintentionally hilarious is just HOW MEAN everyone seems to be to Donny. Some of the first women he meets, whether he's being awkward or no, immediately cuss him out and insult him; even the investigators, when they first encounter him, are about ready to beat him up. Donny quickly reminded me of those characters in Happy Madison films that are hated by other characters for no discernible reason other than their personal flaws (though, unlike when I watch Happy Madison films, I was actually enjoying myself with Tim Miller's book).

As the front cover suggests, this book's content is not for everyone. The surgery scenes are described in detail, and while the death and gore isn't on every page, there's plenty there - heck, one character ends up quite literally COVERED in blood at the end. There is also some sexual content, including one scene where Donny takes an open wound and...uh...er...yeah you get the picture.

Granted, there are certain elements of the story I found a little hard to believe. I'm not quite certain how "quickly" Donny could duct-tape someone's hands, feet, and mouth, especially if they're semi-conscious, able to fight back, etc.; even if they weren't, that would probably still take more time than the book suggested. In the same vein, I found it hard to imagine one character gaining on another while lugging around a revving chainsaw in their hands. Also, the scene where the character of Gus happened to have an old army friend at the Pentagon that could do "facial recognition" on a security still came across as just REALLY convenient for the narrative. I also found it interesting that it's established Donny left tire tracks at one scene, and it never seems to occur to the police to identify the tracks and compare them to Donny's car, which would surely have given them the search warrant they do desperately needed in the next scene.

Okay, granted, I'm probably nitpicking here. I got this expecting a dark, fun horror story. Did I get a dark, fun horror story? You betcha. And that's all I can really ask for!

Spankenstein eBook Tim Miller Reviews

Frankenstein was this messed up
Big Tim Miller fan and loved it. Already got his next releases preordered.
The name of the book struck me as funny. But there is nothing funny about this character. Gruesome and super creepy. I even loved the ending.
This is one of Tim's best books ever. Read this book if you love extreme horror. I hope there will be more from Donny. I can't wait for the extreme Fairy Tales collection and Alien Bounty Hunter.
You want for read it! you want perversion read it! you want a good time read it! It wouldn't be a Tim Miller book without a cringe or two and a " can't believe it, Wow totally enjoyable and loads of fun! Horror with black humour definitely not for the faint of heart. I recommend for all fans of modern horror
The title pretty much sums it up...
Spanks was obsessed with a Hollywood star, and would do anything to have her or a replica of who she is.
Kidnappings, drugged up woman, bodies disfigured, limbs missing, even a headless body...
..With all of these, Spanks could make the replica of his obsession with Candi Murphy.
Good cops, one goes psycho with a chainsaw....No one is really safe.
Tim miller has done it again..This book is CRAZY GOOD!!! I could not put it down and finished it in one sitting!!

This is the tale of a little man's quest for his perfect woman....There are some twists and turns that will have you trying to read faster - just so that you can find out what happens next!! I LOVED the story and am hoping that someone will read this and turn it into a gory movie -)

I highly recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of bloody gory movies!!! This book will be definitely satisfy that thirst!!! I can't wait to get my hands on another Tim Miller book!!!
